PaprMap Android Timeline Export Guide

Use Android Settings to export your Google Maps Timeline data from the device where your Timeline is saved.

Step 1

Open the Android Settings app

Start from the phone’s main Settings app. On Samsung phones, this is the gear-shaped Settings app.

Step 2

Tap Location

In Settings, tap Location. On some Samsung screens, Location may appear near Security and privacy.

Step 3

Tap Location services

Inside Location, tap Location services.

Step 4

Tap Timeline

In Location services, find Timeline and tap it.

Step 5

Choose the correct Google Account

If more than one Google Account is on the phone, select the account that contains the Timeline data you want to export.

Step 6

Tap Export Timeline data

On the Timeline screen, tap Export Timeline data.

Step 7

Tap Continue

Google’s Android help says the next step is to tap Continue.

Step 8

Choose where to save the file

Select your preferred storage location, such as Downloads, Drive, or another folder shown by Android.

Step 9

Tap Save

Tap Save. After the export finishes, Google says a popup notification shows Export complete.

Verified path: Google Maps Help for Android lists this export path as: Settings app → Location → Location services → Timeline → Export Timeline data → Continue → choose storage location → Save.
Note: Menu names and placement may vary slightly by Android version, Samsung/Pixel device layout, Google Maps version, and Google Account settings. If you do not see Timeline, update Google Maps and confirm that Timeline is available for the selected account and device.
